Petition Police must protect everyone, regardless of religion

In light of the outrageous decision taken to allow a Muslim policeman to refuse to guard the Israeli embassy, I petition this government to ensure that they maintain that a police officer is a police officer, not a Muslim police officer for Muslim laws, not a Jewish police officer for Jewish laws and not a Catholic police officer for Catholic laws. Every individual who wishes to enter the police force must do so willing to carry out ANY duty asked of him/her and must be willing to uphold the law of the land under any circumstance. Scrap seperate laws for people based on their religious belief.
