Rejected petition wearing a cycle helmet should be compulsory

It should be compusory to wear cycle helmets when riding a bicycle on public roads because of the high risk of head injury, disablement and death should a cyclist suffer an accident. it should be the same regulations for cyclists as it is for motorbikes this would also eliminate ridicule and embarrassment which may be suffered by the cyclist as this would create uniformity.
