The current system is ageist and incites poverty. Being under 25 does not mean the essentials for life are any cheaper than that of over 25's. Food costs the same, clothing costs the same, household bills cost the same.

The 18-24 scheme should be scrapped in favour of a universal NON-AGEIST job seekers allowance at one rate.
