Rejected petition The British government must fulfil Irish language pledge.
The DUP are currently refusing to implement the Irish Language Act, which was agreed on in the St Andrew's Agreement. Instead, they openly mock those who speak Gaelic refuse to honour their commitment.
This can be confirmed by former Irish Foreign Affairs Minister Dermot Ahern.

This petition was rejected
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
Since the restoration of devolution in May 2007, language issues have mainly been the responsibility of the devolved Administration in Northern Ireland.
You could start a new petition calling on the UK Parliament to take back this responsibility and then introduce an Irish Language Act in Northern Ireland, if that's what you would like to happen.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
