Rejected petition Give single people a 50% discount on their Council Tax.

Single people are currently given a 25% discount on their Council Tax. Many couples are most likely to share the cost of the tax 50/50, so in effect the single person is actually paying more. The single person discount should therefore be 50%, NOT 25%.
