Closed petition Local councils to provide drinking fountains in towns and cities.

Closed on

The consumption of clean water is a basic human need and millions of plastic bottles end up in landfills or in oceans to be eaten by marine life then into the food chain and human beings. Ask Parliament to implement a legal duty for local councils to provide drinking fountains in towns and cities.

The evidence for the danger of the breakdown of plastic is overwhelming,
both in terms of damage to the environment, the food chain and in human bodies. This is an unknown health hazard and any efforts to reduce the use of plastic will be beneficial.
