I believe Howard Wilkinson's services to football have so far gone unrecognised I hereby declare a petition to get the man who was the last Englishman to win the top division in English football rightfully honoured.

This man was a pioneer of the footballing academy structure that is common place now at all level of professional football. He has worked at the FA to develop the game at grassroots and fundamentally change to culture of the game for the better.
