Rejected petition Make a dog friendly beach in Southend-on-sea.
Dogs are currently banned from all beaches in Southend-on-sea from 1st May to the end of September every year (five months).
Please can one of the beaches be put aside that is completely 'dog friendly'.
More details
Dogs are currently banned from all beaches in Southend-on-sea from 1st May to the end of September every year (five months).
However during the months they are allowed on the beaches dog owners get abuse from non dog owners who believe dogs should never be on the beach and they feel they have more right to the beach. On the dog friendly beach non- dog users will be made aware this is a dog beach and can not be verbally abusive to dog owners at any time of the year
