More details

How many people drown or burn to death each year in a car involved in an accident or incident because when the engine is switched off, if they cannot open a door, electronic windows cannot be opened enabling escape. Would manually operated windows have saved even one of the Devon road crash victims on Friday?

I call on HM Government to require the manufacturers of all motor cars sold in the UK to re-introduce manually operated windows to aid road safety.
