Current Breast cancer follow-up includes yearly mammogram with breast examination with a breast surgeon and request additional tests for 5 years. NHS has now started implementing new open access (stratified) follow up pathway with no annual breast examinations with a breast surgeon

Patients will only have a mammogram and no breast examination by surgeon.Ladies has to rely on their own examination skills, which is very dangerous.This will risk patients lives. Mammograms are not sensitive and needs to be complemented by breast examination and other investigations +_ tissue sampling.Govt should continue annual mandatory breast examinations by breast surgeon and stop implementing this dangerous stratified followup pathway.
