Petition Provide free legal aid for those on low incomes and benefits

Some of the poorest families in England and Wales are being denied legal aid because they cannot afford the financial contributions they are required to make, This is a travesty and totally unfair sign this petition to give justice to the poorest in our society. Give them free access to lawyers.

A study commissioned by the body that represents solicitors criticised the fact that many on low incomes are being deprived of access to justice by the very system that is supposed to support them.

The report, titled Priced out of Justice?, looked at means testing regulations which control and how applicants resisting eviction from their homes, for example, are unable to obtain legal representation.

How can this be happening in a modern day democracy. Its reminiscent of the 18th and 19th C
