Rejected petition Ensure apologies issued by Government Ministers are to those directly affected.

We are sick of politicians apologising to the wrong people.

And when someone says sorry we expect it to be addressed personally, publicly and in their presence to the victims. We also expect an intention to change behaviour in the future.

We believe there is a need for dignity in high office.

More details

Why do we have Theresa May expressing sorrow to the Leaders of Commonwealth States.

She should be in the streets of Britain apologising to the victims of her vile and toxic policies which have required people who were invited to this country to prove their eligibility for residence many years later.

She should be expressing her anguish at the many who have suffered mental health breakdowns as a result of this ill advised policy.

Similar examples exist where apologies are PR stunts.
