Closed on
Everywhere you go you see no dogs allowed except guide dogs. Obviously guide dogs help people see but for a child or adult who has additional needs or autism this helps them be more safe secure and make them more comfortable in surroundings they wouldn’t usually be comfortable in.
They have little sense of danger. 1 in 100 children in the UK are diagnosed with Autism. Half of these children will have a tendency to bolt and wander off, which can be very dangerous, and has often resulted in injuries to the child.
Autism Assistance Dogs are trained to provide safety and companionship, helping to bring independence and a more socially inclusive Promote positive changes in behaviour Provide comfort for children when upset Reduce behavioural outbursts.
