Convicted criminals should have all benefits removed from them and should not be entitled to a state pension. These pensions include job seekers allowance, income support, housing benefits as well as others. This will act as a strong deterrent for criminals to not commit crimes. Social security is a massive cost to governments so eliminating the costs that are spent on prisonerswould allow the government to spend it on something more beneficial to the majority of people.
