Rejected petition Manchester sure start cuts

We the undersigned believe that Manchester City councils proposal to withdraw as a direct provider of daycare at its sure start childrens centres will result in a substanial reduction in high quality affordable childcare and also cutting services and funding within the Children's centres which we believe would have detrimental impact on the quality of life on families and in particular women and children. We therefore call on Manchester City Council to continue as a direct provider of daycare and still have on offer the important services at the sure start children's centres where they currently do so.
