Rejected petition Fine people over the age of 18 years for littering beaches in Bournemouth

Beaches in Dorset are left looking like a rubbish tip when the sun is out. This has a huge impact on the environment and the sea creatures. I believe the only way to stop this is with on the spot penalties.

Lots of photographic evidence.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for fining people. In any case, it's already possible for people littering to be fined, so we're not sure what additional action you'd like to see.

You could raise your issue with a local councillor, who represents you. You can use this page to find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them:

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
