The blanket ban, banning gay and bisexual men from donating blood in the UK has now been lifted. The UK Government has put in place a 12 month ban instead, the Government should lift the 12 month ban, which bans gay and bisexual men from donating blood. If the donors have had sex with another man within 12 months then it is not fair that the government is making the donors wait 12 months before donating.
