Rejected petition I have received a CCJ on my credit report because i didn't pay a further 20p

Last year i attended a restaurant and i paid parking for 1 hour as i didn't expect to be longer than 1 hour, i received a parking fine which i appealed and it was rejected, i now have a CCJ on my credit report which will effect my chances of getting a mortgage in the future.

More details

I want parking companies to be unable to place CCJS on credit reports for the sake of 20p, i should not nor should anyone be penalised for the sake of 20p, i pay my fines when i am in the wrong and have spent the last 3 years building my credit report to get a mortgage and now my credit score has been lowered because of this parking fine which was not my fault.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

In any case, the Government and Parliament are not responsible for credit reports, which are produced by private companies.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
