Petition Parking on pavements, verges or footpaths to be made an offence in England.
Vehicles parking on pavements, verges or footpaths invariably place pedestrians at risk by forcing them onto the road.
More details
Vehicles parking on pavements, verges or footpaths, – even on roads with no markings, invariably place pedestrians at risk by forcing them onto the road. This is further exacerbated for wheelchair users and parents using pushchairs etc. I feel that this is an increasingly common behaviour which will eventually result in an increasing death and injury toll. In this age of improving Health & Safety legislation this type of behaviour is a travesty.

What is the Transport Committee?
The Transport Committee looks at and questions how the UK Government Department for Transport:
• is run
• spends money
• decides on its policies
It's a cross-party committee and is independent of the Government.
