Rejected petition Allow Home Educated children have access to an educational psychologist.
Home education is a legal option for all children in this country. When a Home educated child needs an educational psychologist they are usually turned down. The excuse they use is there is no funding unless the child is in school. This is serious discrimination.
More details
Since most children who need an E.P. have been failed by school, that’s often the reason for home education, councils are saving loads of money by these children not being in school, how can the government justify this discrimination?

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you're concerned about home educated children being able to access an educational psychologist, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could ask the UK Government to provide funding for educational psychologists for children who are home educated.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
