Currently the law in the UK states that drink driving offenders MAY GET, 6 months’ imprisonment,
an unlimited fine, a driving ban for at least 1 year (3 years if convicted twice in 10 years)

These dangerous people should be taken off the road for good and the penalties for those who offend should be a lot stricter. An example must be made.
