Rejected petition Abolish TV Licence Payments and Fund NHS Instead!
The United Kingdom is perhaps the only country in the world that requires citizens to pay for a TV Licence. We often see news of ridiculously high salaries of BBC entertainers/workers which our licence money pays for.
The NHS needs extra funding and the TV Licence money could make a difference
More details
Enough is enough! We could be paying what we nowadays pay for TV Licence (£150.50 for a colour and £50.50), which has gone up since 2010 towards the NHS as it is in much need of extra government funding.
Please sign this petition if you agree and if you think paying a TV Licence is pointless and you prefer that money going to our NHS!
This petition was rejected
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Money raised from the TV licence fee goes to the BBC, not the Government. It is not clear how you propose that the Government raise the additional money for the NHS once the licence fee is abolished.
You could start a new petition to ask the UK Government increase taxes to fund the NHS, if that’s what you’d like to happen.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
