Rejected petition reduce the price of Gas and Electricity

I would like the Government to take up the the recent energy price increases. How do the top 6 main Energy companies justify the above inflation increases ( 16% to 19%) they are putting upon us. This year and last most employees had no pay rise or if they did it was below inflation (4%). The profits these companies are showing are astronomical in the current climate that we find ourselves in.
