Rejected petition Gift vouchers to have no expiry date if purchased with cash

I was presented with £50 vouchers on my retirement. I held on to them until I found something I could use them for but when I went to redeem them for a shirt I was told they had expired by 19 days and that I couldn't use them. Company had effectively had a 2year interest free loan and not repaid it.
