With death tolls in Japan this week because of soaring temperatures doesn’t the UK government think it is important to set a legal limit on what is an acceptable temperature for the public transport of humans.

People in the UK have had to endure temperatures on the Central Line, Northern Line and from other rail operators in excess of 40 degrees. This temperature is above the legal limit for the transport of cattle and other animals, why should we as humans be any worse off. I ask the UK government to act swiftly, invest properly with Air con installation throughout all networks and bottled water provided free to all passengers during Summer months.
