Rejected petition Make Cycling safer for all introducing segregated cycle routes
Following a recent death involving a cyclist deaths caused by lack of awareness & continuing reports in the media of motorists contravening red lights and pedestrian crossings, speeding, driving and parking in cycle lanes and close overtaking
More details
Recently there has been a huge spate of anti-cycling abuse on Social Media, Namely twitter There disregards for vulnerable road users safety is rather frightening including the use of threats and abuse. Cyclists need to have segregated cycle lanes away from other road users even pedestrians who walk out in cycle / pedestrian paths sometimes walking 2-3 abreast blocking paths when horn / bell sounded you get abused. Emails sent to MP TFL &government all to no avail got ignored and got no reply
