Rejected petition Force The Goverment To Subsidise Sanitary Products

We call on the government to subsidise the cost of sanitary items to all of those who are eligible for free NHS prescriptions, as a bare minimum.

The average cost of menstruating in the UK is £500 per year.
135k girls miss school due to financial circumstances beyond their control.
The government promised money into domestic abuse charities & projects for young people.
None of their initiatives relieve the cost of sanitary items.

Women do not choose to menstruate.
Yet they are financially punished month in, month out.
