The new power stations, rail transport links will employ people during and after construction. Many of thes projects are in traditionally high unemployment areas. Employ local people from the same area as the project as a priority unless safety is being put at risk. For example, Birmingham workers should get priority jobs in Birmingham High speed 2 stations and construction in Birmingham whilst Somerset workers should get priority over jobs at Hickley Point Power station in Somerset. It should not go to seasonal workers.
