Closed Require a child train fare to be ages 5-16 whilst in full time education

Rail companies define child fares as from age 5-15. But a 16 year old can still be at school (Year 11) and has to pay an adult fare.

Companies cite the young person railcard however this cannot be used for morning fares, season tickets or fares under a certain cost. Student discounts aren't available until Year 12. This means that in their most important year 16 year old children and their family are facing the stress of paying double the amount. http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/46494.aspx
