Petition Require hospitals to have specialist consultants in all fields of trauma

My son was hit by a car and suffered serious injuries, he was rushed to Aintree trauma unit and they put in an induced coma, he suffered head and chest injuries. He was transferred to Walton Neuro who are head and spine specialists, not lungs. My son was in the wrong hospital for his lungs.

My son was in a head and spine specialist hospital who dealt with his head injuries, but he had suffered broken ribs and was sick at the scene and had lung problems. The hospital he was transferred to didn't have a specialist in to treat my son's lungs, if it was a multi specialist hospital my son might of survived. Too many patients are in the wrong hospital for their injuries, there needs to be a range of specialists available.
