People have to travel, but not all can afford to keep a car or take public transport when they need to. Why should those who can't afford to use motorised transport be disadvantaged? By supporting free public transport, it will encourage people to stop using their personal vehicles and to use public transport, therefore saving fuel and benefiting the enviroment.
