An award to recognise injury or death due to hostile action, as currently we do not recognise such sacrifice, by members of our armed forces.

And if such an event took place before a serviceman/woman has completed 30 days of here tour, then there is no recognition of service as they will have not qualified for a Campaign medal in recogntion of there service.
