Rejected petition Allow schools to have rights to be able to celebrate black history.
It is unfair that black history in general is not incorporated in the mainstream education system so to have day to educate ALL generations of the history that shaped their existence should be allowed without the judgement of it not being inclusive.
More details
Schools have to worry about incorporating British values and the idea that everything has to be inclusive, in which doesn't allow schools to celebrate or educate about certain things, including black history month. This is preventing the future generations to understand different cultures on an educational level instead they are taught stereotypes by the media. Black history is a victim of this. British values should be taught but it shouldn't restrict the education of history that should be shared.
