The Orwell bridge. A14. Major artery from the expanding port of felixstowe. When the bridge gets closed in either direction due to bad weather, usually high winds, or a road traffic incident. All traffic is diverted through Ipswich town which causes absolute mayhem.

One particular day the wind brought down trees and blocked local roads which were already congested due to tge bridge closure. This particular day it took me 90 minutes to get to work, 7 miles away...! There was an idea of allowing cars only in high winds but surely that would pose health and safefy issues.
