Rejected petition Margaret Thatcher should be the public figure for the new £50 note

Rejected on

The Bank of England is to bring out a new, more secure version of the £50 note.
We believe that Margaret Thatcher should be the public figure chosen for the £50 note.

Margaret Thatcher was an iconic figure in 20th century politics.
She was arguably Britain's Greatest Post War Prime Minister.
She became Britain's first woman Prime Minister in May 1979.
She was tough and resolute.
Make Margaret Thatcher the new face of the £50 note.
