Many large companies do not offer a bike2work scheme for no reason other than lazyness.

Lots more people would cycle given the opportunity to do so and as the government is aware cycles are a massive aid in reducing both emissions and congestion it'll benefit everyone in various ways

Cycling instead of driving reduces emissions - less strain on NHS, better for planet, and helps meet city air pollution requirements

Less congestion meaning more profitable businesses, more interest in business, easier access to emergency services

Healthier work forces - less early retirments on medical.grounds, less sick pay etc
