Rejected petition Resignation of Mr Blatter from FIFA

Dear Hugh Robertson MP,

In the light of recent comments made by Fifa president Mr Sepp Blatter I am calling for every football fan, current and former player, managers and coaches and to join me in asking for Mr Blatter's resignation.

His comments and attitude are offensive condescending, and are in danger of undoing the good work and advancements that have been achieved in local and international football over the last thirty years plus.

Mr Blatter does not represent the poplar view of players, fans or the public especially when he makes such comments as:

"racist incidents in football matches could be settled with a handshake at the end of the game".

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

The FIFA leadership is a matter for FIFA. However, the Prime Minister and the Sports Minister have both made statements on this issue.
