Rejected petition STOP! No EU Nationals to be allowed to vote In General Elections for 5 years
EU migrants 'will have full voting rights' according to secret Brexit plan The draft Withdrawal Agreement between the EU and UK, which is a closely guarded document, contains a clause allowing EU citizens living in England and Northern Ireland the right to vote in General Elections.
More details
According to reports in The Guardian, Britain has decided to enfranchise all EU nationals (at least in England and NI – it’s devolved in Scotland and Wales.) Why offer a blanket deal instead of country by country bilaterals? All EU Nationals coming to live in Britain should have to wait at least 5 years before being allowed "full voting rights" This decision is a betrayal what 17.4m people voted for. No EU nationals should be allowed to vote In General Elections for at least 5 years.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We are not sure whether you would like EU nationals to be able to vote in General Elections after they have lived in the UK for five years, or whether you would like the Government to commit to not changing the existing rules for voting in UK General Elections after leaving the EU.
You could start a new petition setting out clearly what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
