From Monday 21st November Stena Line will no longer be operating ferries from Stranraer to Ireland ending 150 years of ferry travel from this port.Therefore I call on the Westminster government to work with the Scottish government to find a way to develop Stranraer as a cruise liner facility potentially providing employment and tourism opportunities therefore encouraging rail and sail packages for people going on cruises or look at bringing back a Stranraer Harbour to Belfast Donnegall Quay ferry service that would provide additional travel opportunities as well as reviving rail and sail packages between Scotland and Northern Ireland!
