Babies are the most likely to be admitted to hospital with flu, and are not eligible for vaccine until they are 6 months old. In addition pregnancy causes immunosuppression. In order to reduce the number of babies getting flu, their primary caregivers should be eligible for a free NHS flu vaccine.
