Closed Governing Body for all embulance technicians'

Currently in the UK there are no guidelines to have ambulance technicians’ regulated under a governing body.

Currently paramedics, therapists, radiographer etc. have to be registered with the Health Profession Council (HPC - www.hpc-uk.org) to obtain employment.

When something warrants’ them to be struck off this register they are still allowed to continue working within the same trust as an employed technician.

The government needs to act on this sooner rather than later to have a governing body put in place to have all ambulance technicians to be registered with a governing body.
