Petition Law change. No reduced sentence if plea changed after further evidence heard.

For victims reliving evidence can be very traumatic and then seeing the offender getting a reduced sentence is adding more pain. For example, abused children may see the sex offender get shorter sentences as they have pleaded guilty when the child discloses more information about the offence.

There should be no reduction in sentence for a guilty plea made after the victim has given evidence.
