At a time when we have an entire generation priced out of home ownership, it is very unfair and also economically stupid to offer a 50% discount to council tenants under the right to buy scheme. The vast majority of the priced out generation do not live in council housing so will not benefit. But their taxes have been subsidizing these tenants.
