Rejected petition Introduce cultural lessons to primary age students, to prevent ignorance.
Prejudices and stigma around immigration can be prevented in future generations by immersing primary age students in cultural lessons, to promote acceptance and the positive impact that immigrants have.
More details
24% of immigrants feel discriminated against because of their ethnic or immigrant background, and 71% have no clue where to seek help, furthermore only 12% will report their experiences of discrimination. These numbers can increase drastically if our younger generation is taught open-mindedness. Sign this petition to make the UK a more comfortable and accepting environment for everyone.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you're concerned about prejudice and stigma around immigration, but we're not sure exactly what you mean by "cultural lessons."
The national curriculum already requires the teaching of "diverse national, regional, religious and ethnic identities in the United Kingdom and the need for mutual respect and understanding". We're not sure what else you'd like to happen.
