Female Sanitary Products should be exempt from VAT. The fact that they are only given a 5% VAT levy -- instead of the usual 20% -- suggests that the government agrees that this is a necessity. If that's the case, why levy VAT against it at all? Charge a higher rate for real luxuries and not against sanitary towels and tampons.
