Rejected petition Stop tax payers paying for Meghan and Harry's grade 2 listed house renovation
Tax payers are set to foot the bill for renovating a grade 2 listed building for Harry and Meghan to start family life in.
Why should one family get such privelages when there are hard working tax payers who can't afford a deposit for their own home and never will.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The Sovereign Grant is paid annually to the monarch by the Government in order to fund the Monarch's official duties. The monarchy is responsible for deciding how to spend the Sovereign Grant and so the UK Government and Parliament are not responsible for making these spending decisions.
You can find out more about the grant here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/sovereign-grant-act-2011-guidance/sovereign-grant-act-2011-guidance
You could start a new petition asking for a reduction in the Sovereign Grant, if that is something you would like to see happen.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
