Disability Scooters are now a common sight on the paths and high streets of the UK but due to the law other electrically powered transport is banned.

But with the rising prices of fuel and with the drive towards a greener future I propose that ALL electrically powered vehicles to be allowed on pavements under 6mph for protection of other pedestrians or upto 20 mph on roads.

This would allow electric two wheel micro-scooters or Segway be used by anyone and may create a market for further types of personal transport.

For safety reasons wearing hi-vis vests and lighting would be a requirement.
