Having shown itself unable to solve the problems of finding an acceptable Brexit deal, the government should immediately stand aside and enable Parliament to form a Government of National Unity.
• The Government of National Unity will immediately agree with the EU all necessary time extensions.

• This Government of National Unity will rule until Parliament is satisfied that Brexit issues have been fully resolved in the national interest.
• All matters relating to Brexit will be determined by 'free votes' in both Houses.
• The Government of National Unity will note that the 2016 referendum was advisory and may not reflect the current will of the people.
• Finally, the Government of National Unity will enable a General Election as soon as the Brexit issues have been resolved.
