Petition Levy a windfall tax on on the energy companies to help the poorest people in society afford to heat their homes.

To debate a windfall tax on the energy companies that make massive profits each year while people are having to choose between heat or food and elderly people are dying because they cant afford to heat their homes each winter.

The money raised can be used to set up a non profit organisation with no political ties, and that organisation will then be in charge of the yearly money raised, to offer means tested grants to the most venerable people in society.

The help can range from financial help to properly insulate their homes, offer advice on which energy company are offering the cheapest energy deals and to give out financial aid for people who are getting into debt due to the astronomical cost of energy to heat their homes.
