Petition Change the Help to Buy rule of owning a property or share of one abroad.

My wife & I are British Citizens. Originally from abroad, we have family who still there. We are trying to buy a house through one the Government's Help-To-Buy Schemes but don't qualify because unfortunately my mother died and left me a share of her property in her will.

The law of the country says I cannot give my share away to any of the heirs and trying to sell it to a third party individual is near impossible given the risks and future shared ownership with private individuals of the property. This continues to disqualify my family & I from the Help-To-Buy Schemes.
